The unique natural environment and long-standing history of the Tibetan plateau, coupled with its amazing scenery give Tibet a strong cultural atmosphere combining a mixture of nationalities. The famous, sacred Potala Palace located on the Red mountain will be your first view when you are arrive in Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region. The countless religious pilgrims, the curing upward of incense and the countless prayer-wheels spinning in or around the Jokhang Temple seems to be telling the sacred stories of the past. Nobulinka is the Summer Palace comprising many buildings of Tibetan architecture, verdant trees and beautiful birds. This place makes people feel quiet and peaceful. Ramoche temple, Sera monastery, Drepung monastery, Lukhang Lake, and Chakpori Mountain make the city a “holy land”. The main tour routes are as follows:

1. Lhasa-Shigatse-Lhatse-Zhangmu The traditional golden route of which the golden roof of Tashilumpo monastery, the New Palace of the Panchen Lama, and the landscape of the Yaluzangpo and Nianchu Valley can be found. Elegant murals, Tangkas and scripture store rooms can be seen. On this road, The highest mountains Qumolangma and Shishiabangma will be also in your view.

2. Lhasa-shigatse-Lhatse-Tsochin-Getse-Shichuanhe-Purang This amazing route will allow you to enjoy the scenery of “the roof of the world” such as the golden colored Sanmupati mountain, Tarinanmu Lake and the snow covered Balinkangri mountain. The sacred Guge ruins in Trada county, the singular landforms, the holy mountains and sacred lakes will appears in front of you.

3. Lhasa-Gyantse-Shigatse-Lhasa Crossing the bridge over Yaluzangpu, climbing over the Kangbala pass, driving by the Yamdroktso you will there get to the ancient city, Gyantse where you can see the famous Buddhist pagoda in Pakchu monastery. After visiting Shalu monastery, travel over Renbu, Nimu then you will get back to Lhasa.

4. Lhasa-Lhoka Lhoka is the birthplace of the Tibetan people and the Yalung valley civilization. The first monastery Samye, the first chapel Chenmchu, the first field somdang and the first palace Yongbulakang are all situated in this area. You can also listen the stories of the land and people of Tibet through visiting Dratang monastery. Tombs of the Tubo kings,Lamulatso lake and Zhegu pastureland are also seen on this route.

5. Lhasa-Nagchu-Golmud The scenery of pastureland can be seen all along this way to Qinghai province. At Yangpachen, steam flows from terrestrial cracks, the holy mountain Nianqintangla and the biggest town Nagchu will be in your sight. Just turn to the north and you will see Namtso, the biggest lake on the plateau.

6.Lhasa-Nyingchi-Lhoka-Lhasa Nyingchi prefecture, is called “the South of the River in Tibet”. The state natural preserve region, Metok, Pasong Tsok, and the first valley, “Yaluzangbu Grand Valley” are all famous in the world, and are also ideal places to go in the aim of exploration and scientific research.
